Changing the narrative
I always loved the art of storytelling and wished to see narratives, images and characters who looked like me. From that yearning to be celebrated and embraced as my full self, I started my quest to be part of the change. During this quest, I have developed a variety of services that can help your business grow.
My journey began with obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from Concordia University in Montreal where I studied video and film, from pre-production to production and post production as well as advertising.
I continued my exploration with a diploma in Digital Video Editing from the Toronto Film School. Over the next 20 years, I was employed at CJAD AM Radio 800The National Filmboard, CBC, CTV NEWS ,OMNI Television, Global Television Network, and worked as a member of IATSE local 891 DGC, ACFC affiliated TV and film productions.
During this time, I experienced and witnessed the lack of diversity, equity and inclusion. While working with news reporters to formulate news stories, I recognized a need to discover my own voice by studying to become a voice over artist. My training consisted of:

I supplemented my Communications degree by obtaining a Marketing Certificate from BCIT (British Columbia Institute Technology). As a result, I discovered new marketing strategies to help businesses attract, maintain and develop relationships with their target markets.
I was at a stage in my life where I wanted to expand my mind and honour my body and spirit. I became a BCRPA (British Columbia Certified Group Fitness) leader and personal trainer. This journey led to personal training for the Ontario Provincial Police, YWCA of Greater Toronto and Vancouver plus 12 fitness clubs and recreational centres in both provinces. I taught Hip Hop, Step, Booty Jams, Salsafit, Bootcamp, Zumba, Zumba toning, Kickboxing and Bellyfit.
To further my career path, I obtained various Diversity and Inclusion certificates and was a Racial Facilitator for YWCA Minneapolis. Diversity and Inclusion consulting brings all my experiences together as I strive to create great work spaces for everyone where they can feel safe, acknowledged and respected. I help organizations be authentic and transparent with their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
